- The NVR’s 4th quarterly report of 2025 has been published today on our website.
- The dashboard provides an overview of key metrics for patients who had a procedure between 01/07/2022 and 31/06/2025.
- By default, the UK national results are initially shown. It is possible to choose to view the results for an individual unit or UK nation.
- The top level results are shown in the overview tab. To view detailed results for a procedure, click on the name of that procedure.
- It is possible to view the data for each of the 12 quarters within the data tab.
- You can also download a pdf report for your unit by clicking on the download button in the bottom left corner.
The quarterly results are in addition to the annual results published alongside our 2025 state of the nation report in November. The user defined reports also allow you to select quarterly metrics as well as annual ones.
We always want to improve the way we publish results through our dashboard and welcome any feedback on how we can. We have created a survey and we’d encourage anyone to fill it in if you have any ideas. The link to the survey is: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/L510kUnu5i
We have created a webpage outlining all of the NVR metrics, how often they are published and the method of publication.
Other NVR results
- Each consultant vascular surgeon and interventional radiologist should have received an email with their individual consultant level results for elective infra-renal AAA and CEA for 2022-2024 earlier this week.
- Each unit will also receive an email with the number of lower limb revascularisation procedures performed by each clinician within 2022-2024 over the next few days.
NVR IT system and datasets
- The NVR IT system has been updated to include the online reporting tables and graphs that were in the old NVR, including a revalidation report that can be automatically generated. Clinicians can access this via the ‘Dynamic Reports’ menu item.
- We hope that the bulk upload, current search and advanced export features will be made available in the next few weeks.
- If you find any bugs or issues, please report them to the NEC helpdesk in the first instance ([email protected]) and also inform us so we can track them.
- We are planning a few dataset modifications over the coming months, including:
- Making aortic device recording mandatory
- Removing redundant COVID-19 fields and other data items that are no longer required
- Introducing device capture for carotid procedures
- Revamp of the lower limb datasets to better record below the knee procedures
- We’d welcome any other sensible suggestions for dataset modifications to feed into our discussions
