Consultant Outcomes Publication
- Just a reminder of the current key dates for the publication of consultant and trust level results for elective infra-renal AAA repairs and carotid endarterectomy in 2017. We will be analysing elective infra-renal AAA repairs and CEAs undertaken between 1/1/2014 and 31/12/2016.
- The main change for 2017 is that we are planning to allocate elective infra-renal AAA repairs to the consultant named as vascular specialist 2 as well as vascular specialist 1.

Patient consent to store NHS/CHI number on NVR
- Please continue to ensure that you gain consent from patients so that their identifiable data can be recorded on the NVR.
- We plan to link the NVR data to HES and ONS, which will provide us with more information and ascertain long term outcomes. However, this can only be done for NVR records with consent that contain the patient’s NHS/CHI number.
