NVR Data Submission Deadlines
Below are the current key dates regarding data submission and analysis for 2021. This involves all NVR procedures carried out up and including 31/12/2020.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that the volume of vascular procedures carried out in 2020 will be lower than in previous years. We also expect there to be a larger number of postoperative deaths.
We have raised this issue in relation to consultant level outcome reporting with HQIP, and have agreed to finalise our plans once all data for 2020 has been submitted.
Given the current COVID-9 pandemic, we appreciate that NHS trusts will be under strain. Please let us know at the earliest opportunity if any of these data submission deadlines will be an issue.

| Final data submission deadline for all other NVR procedures (complex AAA, emergency AAA, lower limb angioplasty, lower limb bypass and lower limb amputation) | 14 May 2021 |
| Initial results for elective infra-renal AAA repairs and carotid endarterectomies sent to consultants for validation | W/C 24 May 2021 |
| Final data submission deadline for elective infra-renal AAA repairs and carotid endarterectomies | 18 June 2021 |
Leicester Vascular Limb Salvage (VaLS) CLTI patient pathway
Mr Robert Davies kindly shared the Leicester COVID VaLS pathway and the original VaLS patient pathway. They are available on the PAD QIP page of the VSQIP website.
The pathways, which resulted in improved outcomes for CLTI patients, were discussed by the Leicester vascular team in a recent PAD QIP webinar. A link to the recording is also available on the same webpage.
